Results from Junior Girls Team Championships

Yesterday the girls' took on Egypt in the second match of the tournament after thrashing poland 3-0 the day before.

With the Egyptians dominating the individuals the girls new it would be a tough match. Up first was Abbie Palmer against hard-hitting Gohar. Abbie played well until she decided to get better acquainted with the glass court, after a quick time and luckily not sustaining any lasting injury Abbie got back on court and continued the match, however the egyptian proved too strong and saw out the match 3-0.

Up next on court was Becky who took on indivudual runner up Metwally. Showing the dominance on court in the individuals Metwally was too good and despite Becky playing well was too good and again finished the match 3-0.

Up last was Hayley, after a series of great drops and even better frames Hayley took the lead in the first and looked as if she might sneak the first, however the Egyptian showed her skill and determination and caught up to take the first and despite a great effort from Hayley also too kthe second and thrid to win the match and the tie for Egypt.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the results from the final group stage tie against Australia! If the girls win it will see them get into the top eight draw!
