New Zealand finishes 15th at World Champs

A winning finish to New Zealand's injury-hit campaign at the Men's World Team Squash Championships in France.

The 12th seeds have cemented 15th place with a 2-0 victory over Mexico.  Paul Coll put the Kiwis on the front foot with a straight games win over Eric Galvez, producing a superb performance to surprise his higher ranked opponent 11-5, 12-10, 11-9.NZ opening ceremony

Martin Knight then closed out victory with a hard fought 11-5, 5-11, 13-11, 7-11, 11-1 win over Arturo Salazar.

Despite losing number one Campbell Grayson for the majority of the knock-out stage of the competition, New Zealand's 15th placing is still nine places higher than their 24th place finish in the event two years ago.

Meanwhile, England has won the world title with a surprise 2-1 win over defending champions Egypt in the final.
