NZ vs. Hong Kong for Seventh Place
17 Nov 2012New Zealand has been upset by Ireland in the playoffs for 5-8 at the World Championships in Nimes.
Amanda Landers-Murphy was on court first against Laura Mylotte, and got the Kiwis off to a good start with a 3/1 win. Joelle King and Jaclyn Hawkes were then eclipsed in marathon marathon five set matches by Madeline Perry and Aisling Blake respectively.
Meanwhile on the other side of the draw Hong Kong was again beaten in a surprise result. After losing to Australia in the quarter-finals, they were today beaten 2-0 by India. This means New Zealand will play Hong Kong overnight for seventh place.

Jaclyn Hawkes lost to Aisling Blake 11-5, 11-9, 4-11, 8-11, 11-7
