Women's Team Sets off
9 Nov 2012The New Zealand Women's Team is en route to Nimes, France, for the World Women's Championships.
Joelle King and Amanda Landers-Murphy, as well as Coach Paul Hornsby, flew out of Auckland yesterday with 26 hours of travel ahead of them to reach their destination. Meanwhile, Jaclyn Hawkes and Kylie Lindsay will have a considerably shorter trip, travelling to the event from England.
New Zealand are seeded fifth at the event, and find themselves in Pool E with Japan and USA. The top two teams in each pool progress to a round of 16, with winners moving forward to quarter-finals and onwards. The Championships run from 12-17 November.
