King Continues to Cruise in Macau
22 Oct 2012Joelle King is safely through to the semifinals at the WSA Tour's Macau Open.
Another comfortable victory for New Zealand squash star Joelle King at the Macau Open on the WSA women's world tour.
The top seed has crushed sixth seeded Malaysian Delia Arnold 11-5, 11-3, 11-5, to set up a semifinal showdown against Indian qualifier Joshna Chinappa. Chinappa earned her place in the last four with an 11-9, 9-11, 13-11, 9-11, 11-6 victory over Japan's Misaki Kobayashi.
However, while King has cruised into the semis, there has been another upset on the other side of the draw. Second seeded Dipika Pallikal from India bowed out of title contention, going down in five to Egypt's Omneya Abdel Kawy.
