October Ranking Lists Out

New Zealander Evan Williams' climb up the PSA World Squash rankings continues unabated.

The 23-year-old is up another three places to number 88 on the October list, after finishing runner-up at the Christchurch Boys High School Open at the weekend.  Williams has made three finals on the PSA World Tour this year, but is yet to win his first title.

He is now just one place behind fellow Kiwi Kashif Shuja on the world rankings.

Martin Knight remains the top ranked New Zealander at number 45 on the list, while Campbell Grayson has slipped one place to 50.2011 Kylie Lindsay action shot (small)

Meanwhile, Kylie Lindsay is also up three places to a career best number 36 on the WSA ranking list.  Lindsay has hit some timely form after being named in the New Zealand team for next month's Women's World Team Squash Championships in France.

New Zealand's top player Joelle King has held steady at number 12 in the rankings, after taking third ranked Egyptian Raneem El Weleily to five in the quarterfinals of the Carol Weymuller Open at the weekend, while Jaclyn Hawkes and Amanda Landers-Murphy have also maintained their places at 19 and 46 respectively.  Megan Craig remains just outside the world's top 50 at number 53 on the October list.
