Final Four places found for Men's PSA Draw
27 Jul 2012Qualifying for the final four spots took place last night at SquashGym for the Fitzherbert Rowe Manawatu
International Squash Classic.
The major upset of the evening was Christchurch youngster Andrew Ellis upsetting Pakistani visitor Suleman Khan in a tense five setter, 11-7, 11-4, 7-11, 8-11, 11-3. Ellis now books a berth against Japanese visitor Ben Takamizawa Harris in the first round of the main draw tonight.
There was mixed results for the two locals in qualifying. SquashGym's Regan Smith beat Australian Aiden Parkes in three straight sets but Rangitikei's Dylan Tasker went down in three to the other Pakistani player in qualifying Naseem Khan.
The first round of the main draw gets underway tonight at 5.30pm
