A hard fought win has earned NZ a 9th place playoff at the Junior Men's World Team Champs in Doha.

New Zealand is guaranteed to better its seeding at the World Junior Men's Team Squash Championships in Doha.

The 11th seeded Kiwi team is through to the playoff for ninth place, after a hard fought 2-1 win over Brazil.

New Zealand was on the back foot early against the South Americans, with Jonny Barnett losing the opening match to Brazilian number one Josemar Silva 11-7, 11-2, 11-6 in 25 minutes.
