Senior Nationals Update2 Feb 2021
Squash New Zealand are excited to announce some minor changes to the premier senior squash event.
After talking to stakeholders present at the event, we are sure this will enhance the excitement around the premier Squash Event in New Zealand. The event which has been known as the New Zealand Senior Nationals, will be renamed to represent the high quality of squash being played in New Zealand.
The event will be now known as the New Zealand Squash Championships.
Following the success of the 2020 Senior Nationals event; The New Zealand Squash Championships will consist of a Men’s and Women’s Open draw of 32 players.
This will allow the best squash to be played from the opening round, right until the final. It is a “true” championship that consists of our top players showcasing their skills and competing to become the New Zealand champion.
We are excited to showcase these adjustments at the New Zealand Squash Championships to be held at Hutt City, Wellington, on the 25th – 27th of June.
