Amanda Lands Title in Adelaide

Amanda Landers-Murphy has claimed the South Australian Open title in Adelaide.

Success for New Zealand's Amanda Landers-Murphy across the Tasman.

The 21-year-old Kiwi has picked up the second WSA World Tour title of her career, taking out the South Australian Squash Open in Adelaide.  She finished runner-up in the same event last year.

Top seeded Landers-Murphy proved too good for Australian seventh seed Samantha Davies in the final, winning 12-10, 11-7, 11-8.  It completed a top weekend for the world number 51, who won all four of her matches in straight games, including an 11-7, 12-10, 11-8 victory over fellow Kiwi Megan Craig in the semi-finals.

Landers-Murphy has been threatening to win her second title for the best part of a month, after finishing runner-up in the West Australian Open at the end of May.  She was also beaten in the final of the Barossa Valley Open last weekend.

Landers-Murphy will now look to add the Victoria Open title to her tally early next month.  Kylie Lindsay, Megan Craig and Taylor Flavell will also be lining up in the women's draw in Melbourne, while Martin Knight, Campbell Grayson, Kashif Shuja, Evan Williams, Chris Lloyd & Paul Coll will represent New Zealand in the men's draw.
