New Zealand Junior Open Semi-final Results

Semi-final results from the New Zealand Junior Open now available.

The 2012 New Zealand Junior Open finalists have been found at Remuera Rackets Club today.  The top two seeded players in both the Boys' and Girls' top divisions will play each other in the finals tomorrow afternoon.

In the Girls' Division One, top seed Ellie Epke has proved far too strong for Paris-Dalrymple Mortleman, winning comfortably in three sets.  On the other side of the draw second seed Rebecca Barnett was pushed harder by third seed Abbie Palmer before emerging victorious in four sets.

Jonny Barnett, top seed in the Boys' Division One, won a very close three set encounter with fifth seed Ben Grindrod.  Meanwhile, Zac Millar won what was called 'the match of the day' by many pundits, beating Eastern's Todd Redman in four tight sets.  

The boys' final will be played at 3.45pm tomorrow, with the girls' to follow at 4.30pm - both at Remuera Rackets Club.
