WSF World Masters Squash Championships 2018 WSF Masters 2018

McArthur Squash Center at Boar’s Head Sports Club will be the central venue for the 2018 WSF World Masters Squash Championships.

The dates of the event will be July 29 to August 4, and a provisional schedule can be seen here. We will begin accepting entries on July 1, 2017, and over the next few months will be packing the tournament website with information to help you plan your trip, updating it regularly as relevant news becomes available.

Central to our vision for the World Masters is an “Olympic Village” experience, where players, spectators, families, and friends can play, eat, drink, sleep, and enjoy numerous recreational activities all within our single property—and all in superior style.

McArthur Squash Center comprises one piece of the vibrant Boar’s Head campus, which is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just miles from the University of Virginia and a short two-hour drive from Washington, DC. Owned and operated by the University of Virginia Foundation, the Boar’s Head Inn offers 175 luxurious guest rooms and suites, all within walking distance of the squash courts.
Our hotel concierge service is lining up restaurant partners, as well as exclusive tours and excursions in and around Charlottesville. Additionally, we are working with tour operators to give you and your families a chance to extend your vacation with stop-over destinations in New York, Orlando, Las Vegas, and California, as well as distinctive local destinations like Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia Beach, and Washington, DC.

Charlottesville is easily accessible by air. We will be running a coach service to and from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). Richmond International Airport (RIC) is just over an hour’s drive, while Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (CHO) brings you right to our doorstep.

And, as for the squash, we intend to guarantee all competitors a minimum of four matches, and have quarter finalists play out for finishing positions. Expansions to our local squash facilities are in progress and once completed will provide 26 tournament courts within a 3 mile radius. We’re excited to continue the Nation’s Cup and will offer activities that continue to foster the national team concept established in Johannesburg 2016.

I hope you will consider joining us in Virginia next year. Please stay up to date with us by liking our facebook page, checking in regularly with the event website, and signing up to receive our digital newsletter.
