John Key Opens NZ's Newest Squash Facility

On Thursday 8 March, John Key will offically open the Devoy Squash and Fitness Centre in Tauranga, the most modern squash facility in the country.

The club opened its doors late last year but are pleased to officially open the building with Prime Minister John Key and other local celebrities such as Dame Susan Devoy and Squash NZ Chief Executive Jim O'Grady.

Dame Susan Devoy, the patron of Squash New Zealand, former world champion and namesake of the new facility says about the club:

"The new DEVOY SQUASH & FITNESS CENTRE is now open and it is just fabulous! The Centre represents an exciting recreational addition to the Tauranga region. It is truly multipurpose and brings a new level of fitness opportunity and design never before seen in New Zealand. We're thrilled the community are going to have the opportunity to reap the benefits of what the Centre has to offer and are confident it will do what it's designed to do - that's to get more local people active, involved, fit and healthy."

The opening event is a morning tea, sponsored by BNZ, which is by invitation.
