Cousins Shield / Mitchell Cup 2012

The rules for this prestigious club teams event have been finalised for its 2012 edition, to be held at Mitchell Park in Lower Hutt over Queen's Birthday Weekend (1-4 June).

The major innovation for 2012 is the ability for teams with two or fewer A graders (who are not both A1) to include an import in their teams.  It is intended that this rule will make the competition more accessible to teams from around the country, and specifically improve the geographic diversity of entrant teams.

Now is the time to start organising your club's campaign, so get persuading your club-mates to get involved, and begin training now!  The event hasn't been held in Wellington since 1986, so if you needed more of a reason to enjoy a long weekend in sunny Wellington, there it is.
