Hughes Named Women's Squash Second Team All-American Hayley Hughes All-American Resized

Drexel sophomore Hayley Hughes was announced by the Women's College Squash Association as a 2015-16 Second Team All-American on Monday. She becomes the first Drexel women's player to be selected to an All-American squad.

The sophomore went 13-7 during the year with a 13-4 mark from the No. 1 spot for the Dragons as she played the most matches on the team from the top position. Her 13 wins ranked third on the squad while 11 of those victories came as three-game sweeps.

She helped the women finish runner-up in the 2016 'B Division' Kurtz Cup at the Team National Championships and went on to compete individually in the Ramsay Division Bracket for the top 16 players in the country at Individual Championships, which led to her being selected as an All-American.
