Upsets on Finals Day at NZJO

The script has been thrown out the door on the last day of the New Zealand Junior Open at Royal Oak.

Top seeds Scott Galloway and Ellie Epke have missed out on their respective titles, after suffering defeats in the final.Squash NZ Logo

Galloway has been sensationally beaten by third seed Max Trimble, who upset the form books with an 11-8, 2-11, 11-8, 13-11 victory in the title decider.

Epke's fate was sealed more quickly, going down in straight games to second seed Abbie Palmer, who racked up a 13-11, 11-7, 11-3 win.  It is Palmer's second title in as many weeks, after winning the under 17 title at the Australian Junior Open in Geelong last weekend.
