Roadshow comes to an end

The 2014 Squash NZ Roadshow concluded last night with the Auckland clubs attending at Remuera Rackets Club.

The Roadshow took in all eleven Districts, included thirteen presentations to clubs, meetings with ten District boards, sixteen Regional Sports Trusts and approximately 200 attendees.

The major focus of the 2014 roadshow was the launch of Kiwi Squash - Squash New Zealand's new junior development programme.  Kiwi Squash was introduced in detail to clubs who attended the roadshow, as well as Regional Sports Trusts - important stakeholders who are responsible for giving out Kiwi Sport funding.  The roadshows also included general updates for attendees, as well as Q & A sessions.Volunteers

Squash New Zealand Chief Executive Jim O'Grady described the roadshow as "an excellent opportunity for the Squash New Zealand staff to maintain a visible presence at the grassroots of the game, and to pick up important feedback".  "It's important for Squash New Zealand to be as accessible and visible as possible to the squash community.  This doesn't end with the roadshow; Squash New Zealand will continue to attend national events throughout the season, and continue to provide swift assistance to queries".
