Annual Award Winners

Squash New Zealand's Annual Awards Dinner was held on Friday 29 November to honour the year's achievers.

Held at the Jet Park Inn in Auckland, the ceremony was excellently led by Gary Denvir as Master of Ceremonies, and attended by 65 people.

Many attendees were heard to voice their inspiration as the award winners' achievements throughout the year were listed.  The names listed below - as well as all of the nominees - all gave up considerable amounts of their time as volunteers, and have enabled hundreds of other squash players to enjoy the sport.

The following awards were announced:

• Club of the Year: Whangarei SC
• New Coach of the Year: Jarrod van Driel (Brown's Bay)
• Club/School Coach of the Year: Paul Roughan (Marlborough)
• District Coach of the Year: Robbie Wyatt (BOP)
• Volunteer of the Year: Karen Hadfield (Manurewa)
• Chairman's Award: Grant Smith (SquashGym Palmerston North)
• Personality of the Year: Joelle King (Cambridge)

Following the Awards Dinner was the Squash New Zealand Annual General Meeting on Saturday morning.
