In addition to this event, Squash New Zealand and Squash Australia will be reviving the Trans Tasman Junior Test Series in the lead-up to the event.  The series will involve two boys and two girls in the under 13, under 15, under 17 and under 19 age groups (a third under 19 boys match will be played this year as the junior boys prepare for the World Junior Championships in Namibia in August).

Squash New Zealand has booked accommodation and flights for this team, which will be selected in the near future.  Squash New Zealand will send two coaches with the team.  Once selections are finalised by the National Junior Selectors, and places in the team accepted, selections and further details will be publicised.
