Junior Nationals Draws Released

The draws for the New Zealand Junior National Age Group Championships at Hawkes Bay are now available.

Draws can be accessed on the Hawkes Bay SRC website: http://www.sportsground.co.nz/hawkesbaysquash/91418/.  Please check daily for updates, as game times may need to change due to pull-outs.

Defending under 19 champions Zac Millar and Ellie Epke are seeded to defend the titles they won last year at SquashGym Palmerston North.

Millar's main competition is expected to come from Bay of Plenty's James Cooper, while Wellington's Scott Galloway and Aucklander Sion Wiggin are seeded third and fourth respectively.

Epke's club-mate Hayley Hughes (also her team-mate in the New Zealand team that travelled to Poland to contest the World Junior Girls' Championships this year) is the second seed in the girls' under 19 division.  Northland's Jacinta Matson is third seed, and Wellington's Sophie O'Connell fourth. 

Another member of the New Zealand team that travelled to Poland - Abbie Palmer - has top seeding in the under 17 draw.

The individual event runs from Thursday until Sunday at the Hawkes Bay Squash Rackets Club.  Some matches will be played at the nearby Hawkes Bay Lawn Tennis Club.  Entry for spectators is free.

The Inter District Teams Event will begin on Sunday evening, and run through until Wednesday morning.
