High Performance Coach Opportunities

Following a review of its current model, Squash New Zealand has made the decision to re-structure the way in which its High Performance Junior Programme is staffed in 2014.  As a result, two new roles have been created which will involve an increased number of hours working within the programme, and empower the successful coaches with more leadership responsibility. These roles are:

  • Consistency in coaching styles and philosophy’s for players progressing through National Development to World Junior Squads
  • More clarity in the team responsible for delivering the High Performance Junior Programme

In addition to the roles outlined above, there will continue to be opportunities for coaches working at high performance level to be involved in the High Performance Junior programme.  Coaches will continue to be invited to fill specialist roles and cover at particular camps on an ad hoc basis. While not all camps will require additional coaches, the importance of continued engagement with coaches working at high performance level is recognised.
