Masters Teams Results

First round results from the Masters Teams event at Henderson.

Auckland matched their top seeding by putting in a dominant performance over sixth seeds Central to win their tie 8-2. Apart from their two losses (which both went to at least 4 games) Auckland won all their ties in three meaning the majority of the players will have fresh legs coming into today's matches.

Again the higher seeded team came out triumphant as second seeds Wellington overcame Waikato 6-4. The first and only upset of the first round were fourth seeds Southland who beat third seeds Canterbury to win the tie 6-4.
