Mark Millar, Mark Waldin and Kaye Jackson continued their fond relationship with Henderson Squash Club; last time Masters Nationals was held there they all won titles.

Mark Millar now has three titles in three age groups while Mark Waldin has four in three age groups. However the most impressive haul of titles goes to Kaye Jackson who now has 11 titles from six age groups.

Mark Waldin, Ian Gunthorp, Gordon Murray, Judy Smith and Kaye Jackson have all retained their titles from last year.

Shaun Madden, Jonathon Gallacher, Phil Tough, Colin Hayvice, Tamsyn Leevey, Becky Clarke, Mandy Kennedy and Pamela Geard are all first time champions with Shaun and Tamsyn both winning titles in their first eligible year as masters.

At the annual gala dinner last night Len and Pauline Stachurski were honoured with the Rob Roche Award for Meritorious Service to Masters Squash.  The couple, of the Inglewood Squash Club, have a long a proud history of contribution to the sport (including to masters squash).

Auckland, Waikato, Central, Wellington, Canterbury and Southland will now battle it out for the Christchurch Cup in the Inter District Teams event on Monday and Tuesday.

Squash New Zealand would like to thank all of the volunteers and sponsors at Henderson Squash Club for their help in running the event.  Thanks also to Alsco for providing towels and linen for the event free of charge.
