Qualifying 1st Round Results from Christchurch

Latest 1st round qualifying results from the Doubledot Media Christchurch Boys' High School Open 2013 at Burnside/Squashways squash clubs in Christchurch.

Both Chris van der Salm and Ben Grindrod survive tough 5 game openers to make it to the final round of qualifying.

Chris Lloyd and James Skiffington make up the kiwi presence in qualifying after recieving byes in the first round. 

The successful qualifers will enter the main draw alongside fellow kiwis Paul Coll, Kashif Shuja, Lance Beddoes and wild card entry Andrew Ellis. 

The following are the results from 1st Round of Qualifying: 

* Pablo Rawden (ENG) - bye 

* Chris van der Salm (NZL) beat Courtney West (AUS) - 11/2, 11/8, 5/11, 7/11, 11/9 (48 minutes) 

* Chris Lloyd (NZL) - bye 

* Adrian Leanza (USA) beat Jason van der Valt (NZL) - 11/1, 11/2, 11/2 (16 minutes) 

* Tim Cowell (AUS) beat David Clegg (AUS) - 11/5, 11/5, 11/5 (20 minutes) 

* Jaakko Vahamaa (FIN) beat Richard King (ENG) - 11/3, 11/4, 11/8 (27 minutes) 

* Ben Grindrod (NZL) beat Jamie Henderson (SCO) - 12/10, 2/11, 13/11, 2/11, 11/7 (49 minutes) 

* James Skiffington (NZL) - bye
