Masters Team Announced
10 Jun 2013The twelve strong team to represent New Zealand in the biennial Trans Tasman Test Series has been announced.
The Squash New Zealand Masters Selectors have named their team to travel to Canberra in September to defend the Trans Tasman Masters Shield won in Nelson in 2011.
The team will play three tests against Australia, as well as contesting the Australian Individual Masters Championships.
The 2011 series, played over two tests rather than three due to the Christchurch earthquake, was won by the New Zealand team pictured at right. Series wins have proved elusive for the Kiwis, with Australia's strength in depth hard to match. New Zealand has never won an away series; something the class of 2013 will be eager to change.
Squash New Zealand congratulates the selected players, and wishes them all the best of luck in the series.
