Positive Rankings Movements in May

Career-best rankings for several New Zealand professional squash players in the May world rankPaul Collings.

Headlining the rises is New Zealand number one Campbell Grayson.  Fresh from winning his sixth career PSA title at the Houston Open in Texas, Grayson has risen seven places to 37.  Positive movement, too, for Martin Knight, who has risen two places to 46.  Evan Williams continues his meteoric rise, up five places to a career-best ranking of 80, while Kashif Shuja is steady at 95.  Canterbury's Paul Coll moves into the top 100 for the first time, appearing at 98 in the rankings.

The positive movement of all four players named in the team to represent New Zealand at the World Men's Team Championships in France next month should augur well for New Zealand's seeding at the event.

In the WSA rankings there has been little change for New Zealand's leading players.  Joelle King holds her place at 6 in the world, with Amanda Landers-Murphy (36), Kylie Lindsay (39) and Megan Craig (53) also unchanged in the May rankings.
