Williams makes Semifinals and other PSA Results

Wellington's Evan Williams has made semifinals of the US$15,000 Hibiscus Squash Open in Brisbane. Williams was beaten by Malaysian top seed Nafizwaan Adnan 7-11, 11-3, 11-2, 11-5 in 39 minutes in the last four of the tournament.

Earlier Paul Coll from Canterbury had made the quarters while Auckland's Chris Lloyd was beaten in the first round.

Meanwhile at the US$115,000 North American Open in Richmond, Virginia Auckland's Campbell Grayson has won his first qualifying match, defeating England's Joey Barrington 11-6, 7-11, 11-6, 11-5 in 58 minutes. He joins Martin Knight (Wellington) in the qualifying finals after Knight had a first round bye. He faces Australian Matthew Karwalski for a place in the main draw. Grayson plays Jan Koukal (Czech Republic).
