Northland Shines at Champion of Champions
4 Nov 2013Northland players have picked up three of the titles on offer at Champion of Champions National Finals this weekend.
The Champion of Champions National Finals, kindly sponsored by Head, were held at Burnside Squash Club and Squashways from 1-2 November, and attracted 95 entries from around the country.
Eleven of the twelve titles were contested, with unfortunately insufficient interest in the A Grade Women's division to hold the competition. Northland players led the way, taking three of the eleven titles. Central, BOP and Canterbury were hard on Northland's heels, taking two titles each. The remaining two titles were shared by Auckland and Wellington.
Sincere thanks go to Paul Growcott and his organising team at Burnside Squash Club, as well as the many players, parents, clubs and Districts involved in making the event happen from District through to National level.
