Glen Carson to referee at Commonwealth Games 

Glen Carson has been appointed by the World Squash Federation to referee at next years Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The decision caps a remarkable rise for Carson who was fast tracked into qualifying as a National Referee in 2009. He has since qualified as an Regional ‘Oceania’ Referee, and refereed at two Australian Opens. On top of this Carson has refereed at many National events and become a prominent figure in New Zealand refereeing. He also won the Derek Cook Memorial Trophy for Contribution to Refereeing last year.

Chris Buckland the National Referees Director has also been selected as a reserve for the games after being appointed to the last Commonwealth Games in Dehli in 2010.
