Millar Pulls off Quarterfinal Upset

Emma Millar has pulled off the surprise result of the quarterfinals at the National Champs at Royal Oak.

Millar, seeded seventh, beat second seed Kylie Lindsay in a gruelling five game encounter 11-9 5-11 7-11 11-7 11-7 to book a semi-final place with Amanda Landers-Murphy.  Landers-Murphy was also pushed hard in her quarter-final by Bay of Plenty team mate Jo Shanks, eventually winning 11-8 11-1 10-12 11-9.Squash NZ Logo

No suprises elsewhere, with Joelle King and Megan Craig, and all of the top four men's seeds, winning through to the semi-finals.  The semis will be played at Royal Oak Racquets Club from 5pm tonight.
