Rebecca and Zac take Junior Open Titles

Rebecca Barnett and Zac Millar have emerged victorious from the New Zealand Junior Open held at North Shore.

Second-seeded Barnett took on top seed Ellie Epke in the final of Girls' Open.  Barnett took the first two sets 11-3, 11-4, before a clearly hampered Epke conceded the match with a back injury.

In the Boys' Open, top-seeded Millar took on third seed Chris Van Der Salm of Midlands.  Van Der Salm never seemed able to settle into the match, which was taken by a highly motivated Millar in straight sets 11-4, 11-6, 11-3.

In the playoff matches for third place, Abbie Palmer beat Hayley Hughes 8-11, 11-8, 11-7, 11-6 in an all-Auckland showdown, and Jonny Barnett beat Scott Galloway 7-11, 11-5, 11-4, 11-2 in a capital clash.
