This episode we are lucky to have Dr Michele Cox. Michele is a former Football Fern who went on the become NZF’s first head of Women’s Football and successful Bid Chief for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2008 in New Zealand. She recently returned from Switzerland after nearly ten years working as a consultant for FIFA, UEFA and AFC as well as the Director of Development Programmes and Marketing for the Asian Football Development Project, set up by former FIFA VP, Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein of Jordan.

"In looking back on my career to date, the achievement I am most proud of is having worked as the Strategic Advisor on the successful international campaign to allow head coverings to be able to be worn consistently on the football field. The work I did helped enable access to the game for potentially millions of women and girls around the world. That is the type of legacy I like to leave from my work."
