A successful end to the individual part of the tournament for a number of New Zealand players with four out of five victories to win their sections of the tournament.

 Gabe Yam scored another good win. This time over Sharif Hamzar (Pakistan) 6-11, 12-10, 11-4, 11-9 in 36 minutes to win the Plate.

 It took Elijah Thomas over an hour to win yesterday and today his match lasted one hour and three minutes as he defeated Myles McIntrye (United States) 8-11, 14-12, 10-12, 11-2, 11-4 to win his section. 

 Fourteen-year-old Natalie Sayes from the Belmont Park Club won the Women’s Special Plate, although it was in a walkover against her Swedish opponent Sara Manberg .

 Northland’s Riley-Jack Vette-Blomquist beat Singapore’s Josiah Chong 12-10, 11-4, 11-8, in 28 minutes final draw 1b 65-96 while Katikati’s Glenn Templeton beat Colombian, Andres Villamizar 14-12, 11-7, 11-4 to win his section.

 Only Willz Donnelly didn’t win his final, but gave it a massive shot with a five game epic against Ju Jeong-Min (Korea). Eventually the Gisborne player lost in 46 minutes 11-1, 11-5, 11-13, 9-11, 8-11.

Overall every New Zealander playing scored a couple of wins or more, with some learning a huge amount against some tough opponents in a tournament which ended up being dominated by Egyptians in the main draw,
