Masters Events


As a result of Covid19, the scheduled test for 2021 was postponed by Australia and is now to be held in association with the Australia Masters Championships hosted in Adelaide during the 7th to the 15th of October 2022. With this change in sequence, comes opportunity for some in that they move into another age group making them a stronger contender.  Is that you?

There will be 7 men and 7 women in the team, one in each age group, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+ and 65+, supported by a travelling Team Manager.

Contribution from players towards costs of flights and accommodation will be required.

Selection Details:

- Squash NZ standard National representative team selection criteria 2022 Masters Trans-Tasman Test Series Policy

- Selection period between 24th March to 7th August.

- Age qualification is to be at the date of commencement of the first Test

- Contenders are expected to be actively competing in National, Open and Masters events during the selection year

- Contenders are expected to compete in at least two events in the selection tournament schedule

- Contenders are also expected to be available for their District Masters Team selection

Final decisions are at the discretion of the Selectors, and ratified by the Squash New Zealand Board.

17th June - Otago Masters - (SI) Queenstown

1st July - Oliver Sports NZ Squash Champs - Tauranga

8th July - Southland Open (SI)

15th July - Henderson Masters (NI)

15th July – Wellington Masters - (NI) 

15th July - Canterbury Masters - (SI) Christchurch

21nd July – Panmure A2 and Masters - (NI) Auckland

5th August – Masters Club Teams (AD Long Cup) - Napier

The Test Team will be announced during the week of the 8th of August.
