2014 CWG Selection Criteria Announced

Squash NZ and the NZ Olympic Committee have finalised the selection criteria for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Squash New Zealand, in conjunction with the New Zealand Olympic Committee, has finalised the selection criteria for the 2014 Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow, Scotland.

The New Zealand Olympic Committee applies strict selection standards across all sports; athletes must have proven themselves to be capable of finishing in the top six.  Each sport then decides which events and processes could best be used to help select the final team to travel.  Part of this process will involve naming a long list of potential athletes later this year (approximately July 2013), to help with the final team selection in June 2014.

The Squash New Zealand Senior Selectors will select a proposed team, but final decisions are made by the New Zealand Olympic Committee.
