SQUASH - King kicks off with a win in KL
28 Mar 2013Joelle King has made a winning start to her latest appearance on the WSA women's world squash tour.
The 24-year-old Kiwi has eased into the second round of the KL Open Squash Championships in Kuala 
Lumpur, after a tidy 11-5, 11-4, 11-5 victory over Indian qualifier Joshana Chinappa first up. The world number seven will face French ninth seed Camille Serme for the in the quarterfinals.
It is King's first event on tour since a surprise second round exit at the Cleveland Classic in the States at the beginning of February.
Meanwhile, fellow New Zealander Kylie Lindsay has bowed out of the running in Kuala Lumpur. After navigating her way through qualifying, Lindsay has been beaten in straight games by England's Jenny Duncalf in the opening round, going down 11-1, 11-3, 11-5.
