Squash to Feature on Crowd Goes Wild

Wellington's Barnett twins - Jonny and Rebecca - will feature on Crowd Goes Wild later this week.

The popular sports news show has sent the even more popular reporter Meghan Mutrie to the Mitchell Park Squash Club in Lower Hutt to film a segment on the successful squashing twins.  After winning both titles at the New Zealand Junior Open at Remuera Rackets Club in April, the two have continued their successful seasons.  Jonny has just returned from Qatar where he represented New Zealand at the World Junior Men's Championships (New Zealand finished ninth).  While he was away, Rebecca (who represented New Zealand at the World Junior Women's Championships in Boston last year) also won the North Island Age Group title in Hamilton.

After Campbell Live filmed (but never aired) a piece on the two earlier this year, the Crowd Goes Wild segment will be welcome publicity for the twins, their club, and the sport as a whole.  The segment will air either on Wednesday or Thursday this week on Prime from 6.30pm.
