Ellie Through to the Final at Malaysian Junior Open

Ellie Epke has continued her strong form on the Malaysian tour, progressing to the final in Penang.

Ellie has clinically disposed of fourth seeded Zoe Foo Yuk Han in her semifinal, 11-7, 11-7, 11-4.  She will now play second seed Sivasangari Subramaniam for the Malaysian under 15 title.

Other New Zealanders in playoffs overnight include the under 19 boys' contingent: Jonny Barnett (9th and 10th), Todd Redman (13th and 14th), Andrew Ellis (17th and 18th), Dylan Tasker (19th and 20th), Chris Van Der Salm (21st and 22nd) and James Cooper (25th and 26th).  Zac Millar has finished 12th ad Ben Grindrod 15th.  Scott Galloway is gunning for 7th place in the boys' under 15 division, and Abbie Palmer is in the hunt for 5th in the girls' under 15 division.  Sophie Askin will also contest the plate final in the under 17 girls' division overnight.

Congratulations to Courtney Bragg and Sophie O'Connell who have finished 26th and 30th respectively in the girls' under 17 division, and can now put their feet up after a hard tour!
