Jim O'Grady, Chief Executive, has this week confirmed his resignation to the SNZ Board. The Board has agreed on and appreciates a long notice period, until late April, to allow for a smooth transition moving forward.
Jim has been leading our sport for eight years, and prior to that was on the Board. There’s no doubting his significant contribution to squash and there’ll be opportunity to recognise that later in the year and in April. After that Jim intends to maintain ties with squash, both as the current president of the Oceania Squash Federation and also on specific areas of interest within squash.
Appointing a new Chief Executive will be one of if not the most important task the Board undertakes. We are working closely with Sport New Zealand and leading sector agency Sportspeople to find the best candidates possible. Applications are open, and for more information please refer here.
