New Zealand Under 23 Championships Set

Whangarei Squash Club is set to host the Under 23 Championships with stiff competition in site for those attending the event.

The 2017 Under 23 Championships will see current title holders Chris Van Der Salm and Casey Owens seeking to defend the titles they won in 2016. Van der Salm will be seeking to claim the title for the third year in a row in the Men’s Open, however all going to seeding he is set to face the second seed Zac Millar in the final. Millar is due to face Sion Wiggin in the semi finals and Van Der Salm has Auckland’s Leo Fatialofa in his semi-finals should the seedings hold true.

In the Women’s Open Casey Owens has taken the second seeding and will be due to battle it out with top seed Abbie Palmer in the final based on the current seedings. Owens looks set to battle it out with Camden Te Kani-McQueen whilst Palmer is likely to face local player Zoe Dykzeul in their respective semi-finals.

Good luck to all of the players competing.
