Exciting Opportunity at Squash Auckland

Squash Auckland wishes to advise everyone in the squash and sporting community that Mike Weston has given notice of resignation from his Development & CoachForce Manager position at Squash Auckland effective Friday 28 July. Mike leaves the role after four years in the development space overseeing and building up a number of successful programmes around Auckland, including Auckland's grassroots Kiwi Squash in schools, high performance squads and CoachForce delivery. Squash Auckland wants to thank Mike for his contribution during his time and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.

Squash Auckland are now looking for a new Development & CoachForce Manager who can continue to help grow squash in the Auckland region as part of our small but dedicated team. The Development & CoachForce Manager, reporting to the General Manager, is responsible for developing and delivering squash participation programmes to the Auckland District (Maramarua to Warkworth). The position is one of delivery to key stakeholders (clubs, schools, commercial centres) ensuring squash is integrated into the community and that barriers to participation are removed wherever they exist.

The position requires the following attributes:

• Passionate about growing and developing squash as the leisure time sport of choice
• Excellent Interpersonal and organisation skills
• Skilled facilitator and change manager
• Experience and exposure to the sports environment
• Existing sport and recreation industry relationships
• Ability to communicate with all levels of club structure and all levels of players
• Ability to recruit and motivate volunteers and create volunteer network
• Computer skills, including report writing and presentation (MS Office)
• Financial skills, including budget management
• Self-motivated with high standards of performance
