Expression of Interest for Temporary South Island Junior Selector

Squash New Zealand is calling for expressions of interest for the role of Temporary South Island Junior Selector. Squash NZ feel the need for this role to target South Island junior and senior tournaments, and squad activity in the South Island districts. This is a temporary position for the rest of 2017. The role will be re-advertised in November and will become fixed for one year in 2018.

The appointed South Island Junior Selector must understand the High Performance Programme to assist/support the High-Performance Manager and junior selectors.

Role and responsibilities include:

• Recommend players for inclusion in the Junior Development Squad and Elite Junior Squads.
• Provide National rankings for U19 / U17 / U15 / U13 / U11 players, as required (these rankings will be used to seed national and selection tournaments).
• Seed National Junior Events, ranking tournaments, selection tournaments and other tournaments as appropriate.

The successful applicant must be able to attend the South Island Junior Age Groups held in Oamaru 8th – 10th July, and the NZ Junior Nationals held in Burnside, Christchurch 5th- 8th October.
