iSquash Finalist in Innovation Awards

Squash New Zealand's iSquash (squash IT platform) is a finalist in the New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards Innovation Excellence category, along with initiatives from Canterbury and Otago. Winners will be announced on 30 April 2012 at the New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards Dinner.

Every year individuals and organisations throughout the country are making outstanding contributions to the sport and recreation sector. Through their vision and determination they are raising standards and breaking new ground for the benefit of the stakeholders they serve. The purpose of the New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards is to recognise and celebrate these successes, to share best practice and inspire excellence.

Sir Wilson Whineray chairs the judging panel and is joined by former Sport Canterbury CEO, Olympian and Coach, Selwyn Maister; NZCT Chairman, Peter Dale;  ANZ Head of Sponsorship, Sue McGregor; respected sport adminstrator, Sir John Wells; and Sport New Zeaand Chief Executive, Peter Miskimmin.

Squash New Zealand Chief Executive Jim O'Grady states "we have put a lot of resources into the development of iSquash to help our club volunteers administering the game, so it is great to see that this is being recognised by this selection as a finalist."

iSquash is an online IT platform that includes various modules including membership management, a national grading list, results entry, interclub management, online booking and security access.
