Junior Nationals Championships SetNew Squash NZ Logo Horizontal Small

With a massive 200 entries the Hamilton Squash & Tennis club is set to be a hive of excitement as the juniors descend on the club to battle it out for these prestigious trophies. We apologise for the delay in the draws being published but they can now all be seen here.

The Boys Under 19 draw is set to see a new name etched into the history book with defending Champion Jamie Oakley studying in the United States. Scott Galloway will be tough to beat at top seed but fellow team mate and second seed Sam Sayes will be looking to make his mark should he be able to retain his seeding. Tyler Ranger takes the third seed position whilst Jayden Millard rounds out the top 4. The Girls Under 19 draw sees Ellie Epke look set to take her fifth Under 19 title, she will have to get past long-time rival Abbie Palmer should Palmer be able to keep her seeding. Kaitlyn Watts and Mackenzie Johnson round out the top 4 and both will be looking to make their mark in the Under 19 draw.

The Boys Under 17 will also see a new winner take to the cup. Matthew Lucente who finished runner up in 2015 will be looking to claim the title this year. Lucente will have to get past Gabe Yam in the final should all go to seeding. Temwa Chileshe and Caleb Madden round out the top 4. Nadia Hubbard will take the top seeding in the Girls Under 17 but will face tough competition along her way with Rhiarne Taiapa, 2015 Runner Up Zoe Dykzeul and Winona-Jo Joyce rounding out the top 4 making this title anyone’s for the taking.

The Boys Under 15 is set to be an exciting affair with Leo Fatialofa taking the top seeding ahead of 2015 winner Glenn Templeton who is seeded second. Elijah Thomas the 2015 Under 13 winner takes third seed whilst Kobe Fleming rounds out the top 4. Anika Jackson is set to claim another Junior Nationals title after winning the 2015 Under 15 Girls title she is sure to be keen to keep her winning streak up. Jackson will need to keep her wits about her with Annaleise Faint having progressed well in 2016 she is sure to be a force to be reckoned with should she make her ways to the final. Georgia Fyfe and Anna O’Connor round out the top 4.

The Boys Under 13 Sees Mason Smales set to claim the title after his recent AIMS Games win he will be feeling confident to perform well. Apa Fatialofa and fellow club mate to Smales will be set to challenge him should he make his way to the final. Paul Moran and Noah Thomas round out the top 4 and it is sure to be a draw of excitement. Natalie Sayes is the top seed in the Under 13 girls and will be looking for her first Under 13 national title, however she will have to make her way past home club favourite Sophie Hodges should the seedings go to plan. Jade Stratford and Jena Gregory round out the top 4 and are sure to make for an exciting round of squash.

The youngest players in the competition will be battling it out for their first national titles in what is sure to be an exciting event for them. The Under 11 Boys sees Freddie Jameson top seed for the event. Charlie Prince takes second seed whilst Chris Hebberd and Oliver Dunbar round out the top 4. The Girls Under 11 sees 4 girls playing a round robin for the title. There is little between these girls and they will be sure to play hard and play fair. Alyssa Davy is top seed but Maia Smales, Anabel Romero Gennell and Montana Vette Blomquist are sure to be out to have a great event.
