The Sport New Zealand Performance Coach Advance programme (or regional equivalent) is a self-development programme available to accepted coaches and aims to improve the quality of coaches working with junior District representative and / or emerging pre-elite junior athletes. Coaches with potential and who are committed to developing themselves further can apply to be nominated for the programme. All coaches have to be endorsed by Squash New Zealand (or regional District Association) to be nominated.
Coaches receive individual-specific resources and support from their Regional Programme Leader and can access the Coaching sections on the Squash NZ website for further resources, development and networking opportunities.
2 years (applications usually called for in March-April). Next intake will be in 2018.
This coach learning module is provided by the Regional Performance Coach Advance Programme Leaders.
Squash New Zealand contributes financially for each coach towards the operational costs of the programme.
