The Kiwi squash team has struck double gold at the WSF World Doubles Championships in Darwin, Australia. The team of Joelle King, Amanda Landers-Murphy, Paul Coll and Campbell Grayson picked up a gold medal in the mixed and women’s events and a bronze medal in the men’s event.

Sports organisations are constantly trying to encourage participation, grow memberships, raise funds, attract and retain volunteers, develop coaches, exercise good governance and maintain their facilities. On top of this there are laws and requirements to meet around health and safety, the supply and sale of alcohol and food. Unfortunately research shows few clubs have taken the time to create a planned approach to tackle these areas. Squash NZ is continuing the initiative to create a greater community through the sharing of information in Case Studies and is encouraging squash clubs all around the country to share their own success stories. The Squash New Zealand case studies celebrate innovative thinking and success in clubs. The squash excellence of kiwis has been celebrated for over thirty years. Every year individuals and clubs throughout the country continue to make outstanding contributions to provide world-class squash experiences for tens of thousands of kiwis within their communities. It is time to celebrate the very best of this work, recognise the enormous contribution of individuals and clubs, share good practice and inspire excellence.
